My Teaching Experience

I started teaching English in 2012. I've taught multiple grade levels of diverse populations of students in 4 different countries: Japan, China, South Korea, and the United States.

My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching style is fun and interactive. I think students learn best when they are engaged in hands-on, interactive activities where they have many opportunities to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

I believe:

• Every student is unique and has inherent value regardless of their background or skill level.

• All students can grow with the right support.

• Children learn best when they are taught in an engaging way that helps them slowly build their skills and confidence over time.

• Meet children where they are first. Then, challenge them to grow and learn.

• Learning can be fun. Games, positive feedback, and interactive lessons make a big difference. Students enjoy it more and they remember the content better.

My goal is to design resources that provide clear structure, visual supports, scaffolding, and provide plenty opportunities for students to get immediate feedback, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.

My Education & Credentials

I have a Master's in Teaching with a focus in teaching English as a Second Language and a Bachelor's in English.

I'm licensed to teach ESL, Reading, Social Studies, and English Language Arts.
